Employing & Terminating Staff Wage Easy Payroll is designed to minimise the complexity and work required in keeping records and making payments as staff progress through their employment cycle. Dedicated wizards are provided for starting a new employee, changing an employee’s work conditions, and for terminating an employee. These ensure that the essential information is provided, that clear records are kept of the changes, and that payments are calculated correctly. |

Establishing payroll and personnel records for new staff is a quick and easy process with Wage Easy Payroll. A New Employee Wizard steps through the basic and compulsory information required for the payroll and human resource functions. This includes entry of details such as employee name and number, bank details, and nomination of applicable tax table, pay rate, employment award or contract and so on. |
||
The New Employee Wizard effectively creates the employee file, and it is then possible to start adding all the other employee information to the file. This will usually include such things as:
Many employment and personal details can be changed directly as required in the
employee files. However, the Wage Easy Payroll leave management feature is so accurate
under a multitude of employment arrangements, that a Change Award Wizard is used when an
employee changes awards or employment contracts. While this ensures that the correct
adjustments are made to the employees file to match past and future requirements, it
requires no decision making on behalf of the operator. |
||
A Terminate Employ Wizard is provided to guide the operator through the process of terminating an employee, including preparation of the final pay slip. In addition to applying the period of notice for termination and redundancy payments for severance as stipulated in the award file, the wizard prompts the operator to consider any other issues for payment such as outstanding leave balances, lump sum taxation, and so on. |
||
To complete the employee cycle, it would be usual to scan the documentation associated with resignation or dismissal and include it in the employee file. The group certificate can be issued immediately if required. To aid in future inquiries from the employee or the company, operator access to an employees file is still possible after termination. |
