	Public Holidays & RDO's Wage Easy Payroll has a comprehensive range of options for payment for work performed and/or time off on public holidays and rostered days off. These options are available down to an individual employee level, so that an employee can accrue some leave and get some payment for work performed on a public holiday for example.
		Wage Easy Payroll maintains a list of public holiday dates for the year. These can be predefined in advance by a drop-down calender, and given an individual title. To minimise maintenance in this area, there is an option to refresh the public holiday list which will duplicate the previous years holidays into the current year.
	Once the public holidays are listed and a pay slip is being prepared, Wage Easy Payroll will automatically decide whether each day is a normal day, public holiday or rostered day off and make the calculations accordingly. However, to maintain operator flexibility, the automatic nomination can be easily changed at the pay slip preparation stage if required. Wage Easy Payroll has been designed to cater for complex public holiday conditions used in 24 hour per day operations, and it is therefore very accurate in its calculations in this area. Wage Easy Payroll will correctly and automatically decide which portions of work need to be paid at public holiday rates or RDO rates or at normal time rates. Wage Easy Payroll allows normal payment, make-up payment and leave accrual factors to be set individually for each of these categories, and allows for pro-rata over multiple pay periods where required for part time employees. These payment factors are specified in each award file. To simplify configuration of the files, when a new award file is created, it is predefined to hold the common RDO and Public Holiday arrangements. However, each option may be changed by the operator as required. If your company is a member of an appropriate employer association, these factors can be automatically downloaded and maintained via the internet.
