| Employee Leave One of the major features of Wage Easy Payroll is its ability to correctly process and track employee leave payments, accrual, and taxation; for new employees, ongoing employees and terminating employees. Leave is broken up into eight different categories, and can be arranged to suit all classes of employees including full time, part time and casual employees. Leave Accrual The Wage Easy Payroll leave system offers flexibility with accuracy, through its ability to accrue leave by many methods and by supporting multiple accrual rates for varying times since commencement of employment. All the standard leave arrangements can be easily catered for with Wage Easy Payroll setting leave factors to suitable predefined options. The leave payment rate can be independently set as a percentage loading on the base pay rate. Long service leave can be correctly administered as there is the ability to a minimum period of service prior to an employee becoming entitled to the accrued leave. Additional flexibility is provided by the ability to set many other leave accrual and entitlement factors. Work on Saturdays, Sundays, Public Holidays and RDOs can be nominated as accruing leave, and leave can be nominated to be automatically paid out or deducted from the employees pay as it accrues. Pro-rata payments and accruals are also available to suit casual and part time workers. Employee Leave Records & Payments The Wage Easy Payroll leave system is designed so that it can handle breaks in service or change of employment conditions, without the need for manual intervention. Separate leave records for each employee are maintained in each leave category, for each block of service. Therefore, for example, if the employees employment conditions change, the Change Award Wizard will automatically create a new leave record in each category to hold the leave accrued under the new arrangements. Wage Easy Payroll will then correctly manage the use of leave taken from previously accrued entitlements. | Payment for leave taken, or leave in advance, is organised at the pay slip preparation stage. At this point the operator may view the current leave entitlement in each category, and specify the leave period and number of leave hours to be paid. Although leave will be taxed as part of the gross wages for the period in most circumstance, Wage Easy Payroll will automatically pro-rata the tax over the full leave period for leave being paid in advance.
